July 2026 I bought a hifi product on eBay from a German seller. with PayPal. what I received doesn’t match the description or the photos: very big and deep scratches and lots on the front.. the seller edits his photos with AI.
I’m asking for a return with a prepaid label. I provided proof photos; I asked the seller for a prepaid label.
eBay only leaves this option: the seller says they accept the return and provided what’s needed for the return.
and that’s false: the seller only gives his address in Germany, and asks me for my bank details to pay the return shipping costs.
but from the start I’ve been asking for a prepaid label and I don’t want to give my bank details to a crook.
I waited six days, I don’t see any option to ask eBay to step inˋ;
they just ask me to provide a return tracking number, and that’s it.
how can I demand a prepaid label; the seller doesn’t want to do anything else, it’s no longer possible to call eBay. the eBay chat and email links don’t work.
what should I do to get my free prepaid return label from eBay
PayPal no longer reimburses return shipping costs.
