where can I find a CSV template for product import + api
Summary: zirko1 is trying to understand how to sync his WooCommerce stock with eBay using an API, but is torn between learning to code or paying for an extension. He also wonders how to use a CSV file properly to list his products on eBay. boosteur_de_ventes shares links to file templates and instructions, while cyric_54 has trouble understanding certain details. The discussion drifts into exchanges about whether you need to be a professional to use these tools, prompting varied responses about legal requirements and the technical complexity involved.
hello
API : first of all, is there anyone here who could explain to me how an API works,
I’d like to sync my Woo stock with eBay, so the new products I list on eBay are automatically listed on eBay and the stock is also automatically synced when a sale is made
but I thought I understood that the only two solutions available to me were either to know how to code or to pay every month for an extension ?
product import by CSV file: can you give me a link to download and understand how to use a CSV file, what is the right format for eBay, I made a product catalog for my Woo site but maybe I need to add columns ?
thank you

OP2 years agono I'm not pro why?

·2 years agoGood evening @zirko1
You write---> "no I am not a pro why?"
Read this-----> Policy on professional sellers | eBay
The first 2 paragraphs concern your activity.
Think about it....
You don't go from a "commercial" blog without references to a more important site without going through the declaration step with the Commercial Court and URSAFF...
That is probably the issue affecting your difficulties with the csv...
Best regards

because this kind of "clowning around" is only useful for people with lots of listings, so pros
zirko1
OP2 years agoyes it's for people who have a lot of listings, so for you you have to be pro to have a lot of listings?
and why do you call that clowning around?
frelonverre
·2 years ago@zirko1
well, logically you have to be a pro to carry out a commercial act, and anyway all online sales sites will sooner or later "rat you out" to Bercy
as for "clowning around," we don't need all this cr......p to live
zirko1
OP2 years agoNo, you don’t need a car, a supermarket, or a mobile phone either to live and make money, but it helps, it saves you a lot of time
CSV files are the same thing; they’re something that saves you a lot of time
just because you don’t like this technique, does that automatically make it nonsense?
I have a self-employed business but I’m not a pro
yes, they declare you to Bercy beyond a certain turnover, but that’s not the point of my message,
does it matter whether I’m a pro or not?
here the topic concerns CSVs
frelonverre
·2 years ago@zirko1
so as a self-employed person, you're a professional, and as such you have to abide by the site's rules on which you operate; as such, by the way, it is your contact details that must appear at the bottom of each ad you put online
I don't care if you make your own rules, I'm telling you what I feel when I read you, and whether the topic is CSV files, I have time, and I don't need templates or CSV files to exist

·2 years agoby the way the number is ridiculous as well as the number of sales so the csv files, if you want to stay discreet, are not justified

·2 years agoFor the CSV, here you go, my gift to you
https://ir.ebaystatic.com/cr/v/c1/rsc/feeds/v1/eBay_FR-Inventory-Onboarding-Guide.pdf
To download the category-based CSV/Excel template, go here https://www.ebay.fr/sh/reports/uploads
Click on "Get a template" then select,
1) Listings
2) Create listings
3) File Type = Excel or CSV
4) Choose the category
You get an Excel or CSV template with all the columns to fill in to create a listing on eBay, depending on the category.
Once your file is completed with a first row for testing, upload your file in "Upload the template"
still here https://www.ebay.fr/sh/reports/uploads
If you have filled everything in correctly, a first listing will be created, then you can create listings in bulk via this same file.

If you have filled everything in correctly in the Excel, your listing will be created, then you can

·2 years agook thank you very much I find videos in English but I can't find any documentation in French and when I call support they don't know what I'm talking about, could you help me understand what each of the columns I need to add in my CSV corresponds to and especially how to do it correctly
auto-casse-thiebault
·2 years agoUse the Excel template, much simpler.
In the template, everything is explained, for each column a comment has been added to explain whether the value is mandatory or optional and also which value is expected, all you have to do is read it.
For the "Condition ID" column (1000 = New | 3000 = Used)

in my opinion, to help you, and it’s already good to find someone who understood your question, because personally I didn’t understand anything

·2 years agoHello @zirko1
It seems that many people have come here to give you a helping hand or to share a bit of their experience... but each time, it doesn't suit you.. or you don't understand...
Before continuing to want to do what you say you want.... it might be good to----->
- get a bit of training on using Microsoft tools.... so you can understand all their uses..
and above all ---->
- not rely on others to give you a ready-made kit in which all you'll have to do is enter your info...
It's up to you to build the kit..
Otherwise, call on a programmer who can make you something tailor-made...

·2 years agoHello. As for me, it doesn't work. WHETHER I use the csv or excell file, it's the same. Once filled out while respecting the data as indicated, and published via the seller hub, I get a report message: "...Failed...MIP_12...Sku or product ID is missing". I look everywhere ... I can't see it!

·2 years ago@boosteur_de_ventes Hello. Thanks for the gift link, that’s very kind of you.
On my end, I used the CSV template file... or at least tried to....to post listings in bulk and... nothing works. Every time I get an error report that always comes back to the same error ("MIP_12...")....eBay support keeps sending me from one department to another with no results so far......If anyone uses the template CSVs, could you please explain? Thanks. VM
