What to do with a package returned because it wasn’t delivered
Good evening, a parcel sent via Mondial Relay came back to me because it wasn't delivered; I informed the buyer by message, but I got no response from them; what should I do with it?

If your buyer is silent despite your follow-ups.... you can cancel the order for 30 days... See if you can use this link----> Cancel an order as a seller | eBay

OP2 years agoGood evening, and thanks for your advice, which will probably be the last resort in the event of prolonged silence from the buyer. If I were certain the parcel wouldn’t be collected, my reaction would be “if they don’t care, neither do I,” but.... I have a small doubt about Mrelay’s service. So I’m going to try another follow-up, a bit more insistent, before starting the cancellation process, which may turn out to be a bit more complicated coming from a seller; not always easy to get a robot to understand certain nuances!
The most logical thing, in the event of a delivery malfunction, would be for the buyer to contact the service provider to credit another shipment.... which is no doubt in the “mission impossible” category and not necessarily motivating for a small amount.
So, this is my first post on this forum, and I have to admit it is still really reassuring to have the opinion of an experienced user; I’ll let you know the outcome, if of course I manage to find my way back to this thread to do it! thanks again, kind regards

you keep this returned package, and you wait for your buyer to get in touch
they may be ill and unable to move, dealing with other problems besides receiving a package
on the other hand, in the event of cancellation, you lose the shipping costs

OP2 years agohello, yes, that’s a reasonable choice. I thought that almost systematic tracking of shipments would let me handle more calmly the worry of the many buyers who neglect to mention receiving an order properly, or who don’t receive it, well it seems not!! It’s hard being a worrier..... best regards

OP2 years agowell yes....it's true that these little annoyances are ruining my life; that's why I used to take long breaks between my periods of activity on ebay; but this time, I've decided it's over: I'm doing things the right way, and come what may. It's about time, at 74, to start becoming a bit cooler no?
