Ebay doesn't sell anything.

the "ebay customer guarantee" just consists of framing a dispute, and only during the 30 days following delivery.

after-sales service (that's indeed what you're talking about for a device bought in January and now broken down) only a pro seller can offer it, so check with your seller...

Ebay can’t do anything for you for a January purchase...

If paid by paypal: 180-day dispute period from the payment date.

You didn’t respond regarding the type of seller:

* if a professional seller in France: formal notice by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt (their contact details are on their profile and at the bottom of all their listings), before reporting to the DGCCRF

* if an individual seller or a purchase abroad: forget it
