package sent and not collected
hello everyone. I sold an item, I shipped it to the address provided, namely Mondial Relay. The package arrived and the person is not going to pick it up. I sent them several messages to let them know, but they still are not going to get it. If the package comes back to me, am I required to refund them? It seems a little too easy to not collect packages under the pretext of changing your mind. thank you for your help.

·1 year agoIt's not easy to have a sense of humor when you're faced with so much bad faith, even dishonesty.
I suppose the buyer suffered the same malfunction as I did: since they didn't open an account when making the purchase, there's no way to collect the package or reply to the seller directly from the email received.

you are wrongly assuming it, the seller himself informed the buyer that his parcel was available, but this buyer changed his mind and did not go to pick up the parcel
in the end, the seller had to pay the shipping costs out of his own pocket

The question seems premature to me.
In any case, a buyer who does not pick up their parcel (or refuses it) loses the benefit of the eBay buyer guarantee.
From there, either they pay the shipping again for a new shipment, or courtesy dictates refunding only the item, without shipping, once the return has been completed...
Best regards
