Colissimo international or enter the IOSS VAT number

Hello, since I haven't sold abroad for a long time I didn't know that eBay takes care of the VAT (goodbye gifts 🙂
So my question is simple: where do I enter the IOSS number for paid VAT? I tried on the postal service website but there was no indication when making the shipping label and I didn't finalize the purchase. Can it be done afterwards? eBay says it has to be provided electronically to the carrier !??
If not, I'll ask at the post office, but I can already picture the guy at the counter's face and answer.

OP2 years agoIndeed I thought it was a unique code, but it’s just the eBay code for the United Kingdom. Well, now all that’s left is to keep our fingers crossed.

OP2 years agoOkay, in the end I went to the post office; they told me that if the customs formalities were done with the number, they would make the shipping slip directly, but when I mentioned IOSS, they didn't know if that was it. I'll give it to them tomorrow to find out if it matches.

The customs declaration is used to identify the goods
and find out the tax rate to apply.
The IOSS number indicates that the import VAT has been paid by the buyer.
(normally) this avoids paying it a second time when the carrier delivers the package.

The IOSS number that is sent by Ebay when a sale is made must be written directly on the parcel (clearly visible)
