Submission deadline after absence
Summary: electro38 asked a question about how shipping times are calculated after a scheduled absence for eBay sales. koalagris and francexpressdeal tried to respond by suggesting that shipping times are adjusted to account for the absence, but electro38 continued to express doubts and asked for clarification. The discussion became tense, with disparaging remarks between the participants. lester_li stepped in to ask for calm and to avoid negative comments.
Hello,
When you set an absence, the shipping delay shown to the buyer is therefore modified. But when you have set your sales terms with a shipping delay of 3 days from payment, do those 3 days get added to your return date?
For example, if I am away until Monday, and I made a sale the previous Thursday, my shipping delay is 3 days, so should I send the order on the Thursday of the week I return (Monday + 3 days), or since payment was made right at the time of purchase, have the 3 days already passed and I should send it as soon as I get back on Monday?
Thanks

Help "help" in the bottom right, type "absence" and read the help page: it's explained there.
Best regards

OP2 years agoHello,
I looked at the page carefully and, unless I'm mistaken, I couldn't find an answer to my question.
Kind regards.

OP2 years agoThat was exactly the answer I was looking for. To know whether the shipping time was added to the delivery delay. I had my doubts because, according to what eBay says, this delay only lines up with the payment date and not with the absence, hence my question.
Thank you for your reply,
All the best.

·2 years agoHello @electro38
in April 2024 you indicated in another post:
"As for absences too, don't worry, I'm used to it and I handle everything easily. It was just that I had a doubt about a sale that took place before I was away because usually I have sales while I'm away and everything goes well."

So you should know what's going on.
When in doubt, contact customer service.

OP2 years agoHello,
I don't really see the point of your message given my question...

your question today would be legitimate if you had never been in absence mode.
You have already indicated that this was indeed the case. So you already know what it is.
Not to mention the fact that even today, you’re giving the answer right away: "When you schedule an absence, the shipping time indicated to the buyer is therefore modified."
As already said : " If in doubt, contact customer service."
Have a nice day!

My question is there. I’ll find the answer elsewhere.
All the best to you
