Mondial Relay shipping for Italy to a pickup point
Summary: profschlaur is having difficulty sending a parcel to Italy via Mondial Relay using the pickup-point delivery option, even though it is available outside of eBay. *miss-tigri* suggests using the carrier’s website directly to avoid bugs, but profschlaur notices differences in rates. Several participants share similar experiences, highlighting an inconsistency between the displayed rates and those actually available. abcd_fr and gudulle1994 also express their frustration at the lack of clear responses from Mondial Relay, making it difficult to keep shipping fees constantly updated.
hello
I want to send a parcel via Mondial Relay to Italy
I can find rates for this destination for home delivery or pickup point
but when I create the shipping label it's impossible to select "delivery to pickup point" for Italy
has anyone ever had this problem?
NB / if I go directly without going through eBay, sending to a pickup point is possible ..so that means this option does exist ...
thanks and have a nice afternoon

whatever you want, we don't change our ways

·10 months agoHello
Why not go directly through the carrier's website?
The rate will be the same as on eBay if you import your sale to Mondial Relay, and there will be fewer bugs.
profschlaur
OP10 months agowell no! exactly
with eBay's conditions there are already three different rates below 1 kilo
and if we compare the 2 rates for 1 kilo there is almost a 3.5 euro difference

well then send it via Mondial Relay to the home instead of to a relay point
because if you keep hesitating, your buyer is going to get fed up

OP10 months agoignoring the problem isn't solving it !!!
I know perfectly well what I need to do to satisfy my customers and not make them wait
.... in the meantime the problem is still current and it's not with solutions like yours that it will be fixed

ignoring the problem doesn't solve it !!!
on ebay you have to learn how to work around problems and since you're the only one complaining, the problem will still be relevant except that we can't do anything about it I didn't give you a solution just a piece of advice
but I couldn't care less, I don't sell in Italy

·6 months agoI have exactly the same problem and it’s not the first time
the eBay rates for Italy for relay and home delivery do appear on the dedicated Mondial Relay page for eBay shipping rates
The problem is not due to a recent oversight in correcting the page because I had the same problem 2 months ago, which I reported several times to Mondial Relay without a single coherent response from them
The rates offered by Packlink for shipping to Italy are only for home delivery and the rate is higher than the one displayed on the eBay rates page at Mondial Relay
It seems necessary to me that Packlink and Mondial Relay adopt a clear position for Italy in order to allow sellers to display matching shipping rates. I personally have more than 3000 items for sale and it is almost impossible to keep changing the shipping rates on each item all the time
Good luck to all the other victims of this mess

·6 months agoHello,
I’ve had the same problem several times for Italy, and also for Germany. And yet I go directly to the Mondial Relay site by linking my eBay account, as indicated by @felin12 . Relay rates do exist in the price list, but we only have one choice when editing the shipping label, the home delivery rate. And it’s much more expensive... so I removed relay shipping for Germany and Italy from my listings.
It’s a pain, these inconsistencies between the displayed rates and the rates that are actually available and applied.
Me too, I complained, no response...
Regards

·10 months agoHello everyone
@profschlaur
In addition to @*miss-tigri*'s post
By opening an account on Mondial Relay and linking the eBay account, here are the rates obtained (warning: add 20% for the tax-inclusive price)
https://www.mondialrelay.fr/solutions-professionnels/nos-services-ecommercants/partenaires-techniques/tarifs-ebay
to my knowledge, I haven't found cheaper for a home delivery to Italy
kind regards
