Obvious and recurring overbilling errors from Packlink – Mondial Relay weight adjustments
Summary: boutikpro2.0 reported incorrect charges by Packlink for Mondial Relay shipments, claiming exaggerated weight differences. Other participants shared similar experiences, mentioning unjustified adjustments and ineffective customer service. Several advised going directly through Mondial Relay to avoid these problems. The discussions also included methods for contesting these charges, such as canceling automatic payments and keeping photographic evidence. Some users expressed frustration with these practices, considering reporting them to the DGCCRF.
Hello,
In less than a week, I received 6 price adjustment invoices for Mondial-Relay shipments purchased from Packlink, on the pretext that the weighed weight of the parcel during transit is different from the one I declared when buying the label. With discrepancies like 5.88 kg weighed versus 0.250 kg declared! Given that the weights stated by Mondial Relay are absurd in view of the items I sell and ship, which are mainly CDs, DVDs, and Blu-Rays sold individually (the discrepancy example mentioned corresponding precisely to the shipment of a Blu-Ray in a bubble envelope for a real total starting weight of less than 250 grams), it is obvious that these weights are not those of my parcels.
I have suspended automatic payments in favor of Packlink, I have stopped using this provider (I now buy directly from the carriers), and I systematically send them, for any overbilling request, a copy of the delivery note associated with each shipment and issued by eBay as proof of the contents, with a photo of the item.
Are other Packlink users experiencing this problem? If so, what are you doing and how far along are you in resolving it?
Regards,
Boutikpro2.0

·4 months agoHello, this happened to me this week: two adjustments of 15kg for a package of 1.5 kg when the package weighed 1kg max, even though I had already taken a total margin, an extra cost of 38 euros including the 20% VAT (item sold for 20 euros), I find this outrageous, I’m going to contact Ebay and if they support these practices I’ll close my account.

Have you read the various complaints before yours?
This has existed for years and people keep using packlink, for what benefit?
All you need to do is link your ebay account and mondial relay and import your ebay sales into mondial relay
same price

·4 months agothat is to say, we’re not really given much of a choice. I myself have just received a Packling charge for no apparent reason since I haven’t sold or shipped any parcels these last few days .
the few items I sold, namely 4, all went through Mondial Relay via the EBAY site, however each time I had a Packling charge reported by EBAY .
in short, it doesn’t seem to me that I have a choice, on each sale it resulted in a Packling payment in addition to the shipping costs paid by the buyer, but charges therefore taken by Parkling are being charged to me .
I’m now at 4 sales since I joined EBAY and PACKLING has made 6 charges on my account when it should have been 4 .
so I believe that if this continues I’ll contact my bank to get this cleared up and block any charges of this type and obviously I won’t sell on EBAY anymore and I’ll leave the platform ...I think that will be the best solution to avoid being ripped off by EBAY and PACKLING .

·8 months agoHello,
You take a photo of the parcel on the scale with the dimensions and the postage label.
You open a dispute on Paypal for each amount wrongly charged by Packlink on Paypal.
You send the supporting documents (photo, screenshot of orders, emails, postage slip)
You contest the wrongful charges made without your consent on the Packlink site and you write a serious, formal letter.
Paypal or Packling will reimburse you.
To avoid future wrongful charges: You pay Packlink with Paypal and then you cancel the authorization for automatic payments to Packlink in your Paypal settings.
If that doesn't work, you could also contact Packlink by filling out a form on the DGCCRF website. They will be required to respond quickly.
In any case, with Packlink, obviously, be very careful with the weight and take a photo of the parcel on the scale. Store these photos at home so you can possibly contest abuse.

it’s kind of you to give a tip for keeping on using Packlink while loading yourself up with extra work, but the simplest thing is to forget about this crappy service and import your eBay sales directly into your Mondial Relay account
you shouldn’t have such a short memory

·8 months agoI’m also discovering Packlink’s antics. In one month, two price adjustments for 2 Mondial Relay shipments. Luckily Paypal refunded me, but the time I lost sending all the photos, screenshots... You have to disable automatic payment with these people. On Google you can find plenty of cases; I don’t know how they can keep scamming people without being bothered.

In the post in the link, I can’t reply to you. How do you link the eBay account directly to Mondial Relay please?

·9 months agoHello, I had the same extra fees problem on 2 shipments.
2kg parcels that were bumped up to over 5kg.
I asked them to send me the contradictory evidence with photos, and after 3 back-and-forths I got a terse message saying my parcel had been weighed twice at the same weight in two different branches.
Having paid via PayPal, I disputed the additional payments and I was refunded for both parcels without any difficulty.
Packlink is done for me, they’re scammers and thieves.

·9 months agoWe had a price adjustment yesterday of 36 euros on a package, billed directly by Packlink. Such a discrepancy is impossible, especially since the package must weigh 2 kg at most, and there was no error on our part.

·9 months agoHello, yes I have the same issue. I received 3 price adjustments in 10 days. and for orders that date back to October. I think there's a BUG at Mondial Relay. I opened claims, and sent photos of similar items with packaging on an electronic scale... for now I'm waiting for a response, but my account has indeed been debited...

there is no bug at Mondial Relay, Packlink is deliberately trying to rip people off

·7 months agoThis can't be Mondialrelay in your case, the parcel is weighed and the billing procedure is immediate with them!! You're wrongly using Packlink, unfortunately, and they do indeed engage in this kind of fraudulent practice!

·9 months agoHello
There have already been reports on the forum
https://communaute.ebay.fr/t5/Les-forums-eBay/difference-de-poids-Mondial-Relay/m-p/2962557?search-action-id=75179400492&search-result-uid=2962557
No advice to give you, since by going directly through the carrier's website you solve the problem.

OP9 months agoThank you for your participation 😉 Apparently, after reading the various testimonials at the end of the link you shared, this problem is not just with the Packlink intermediary but also directly with Mondial Relay... It would be interesting to know whether this type of problem is also encountered with Shop2Shop...

to my knowledge this problem only happens with packlink, when you import your ebay sales to mondial relay this doesn't happen

·7 months agoOnly Packlink charges for overweight, at least without a valid reason !!
If you cheat with Mondialrelay directly, you will be overcharged, but if you are ok with the weight, you will never have this issue directly with Mondialrelay.
One thing to know: if you use Packlink, photos with the scale weight are mandatory, and photos of the parcel dimensions too. Keep them for 6 months !!
Packlink's fraudulent procedure is simple: they are the ones who enter a higher weight and modified dimensions with the carrier in order to get proof on their side showing that the carrier noted an overweight !! The downside is that for the overcharge, Packlink applies an extremely high rate and makes money partly this way !!
So either use Mondial directly or photos are mandatory !!
Personally, the choice is quick, I've been using Mondialrelay directly for a long time and never had any billing problems !! Only once did it happen to me for an amount close to €4, and by making a claim they found the error, which was on their side !! (2 parcels on the scale instead of just one !!).
