How are you currently shipping your small parcels to the United States? I had been using La Poste’s international Colissimo up until now, but this shipping method is currently blocked for the time being. I tried to get information from DHL and UPS, but they’re not very clear about customs fees and their handling charges. If anyone has already used a carrier ( Chronopost , DHL , UPS , Fedex, etc... ) since August 25, 2025, I’d be interested in your feedback.

OP1 year agoYes, the alternative shipping options always possible are Chronopost, DHL, UPS, Fedex or perhaps other "couriers" as well, but what I'm looking for is what experience have you had with one of these solutions, for example which document did you fill out (with an HTS No.?), how did you pay the famous extra 15% tax and what were the corresponding "processing fees". Today, despite my research on the websites of these carriers and a few phone calls, I haven't managed to get this information.

Here is my “small” (since for now it only concerns one shipment) experience with Chronopost.
I created a Pro account on their site (because I am a professional).
Shipping a piece of art sold for 150 euros to Florida cost 47 euros in transport (less than a kilo) and 13 euros in taxes, so 60 euros in total.
To put that in perspective with Colissimo, which previously cost 37.30 euros for the United States with the same weight and no taxes...
To sum up, it’s possible, it’s reliable (fast delivery) but be very careful about the cost.

My question concerns the alternative solution or solutions to La Poste ( Colissimo international ) following the suspension of parcel shipments to the United States since August 23, 2025.
