My package tracking (delivered) isn't up to date on Ebay ...
Summary: perfectclass expresses concerns about parcel tracking on eBay, pointing out that even if a parcel is marked as delivered on the carrier's website, eBay does not update this information. Anonymous User, monoiehaka, and francois-o confirm that for disputes, the carrier's tracking is what matters. stphanpandin0 shares a similar experience and asks how to speed up the refund. perfectclass is reassured by the information but wants more updates for customers' peace of mind. nareio highlights the importance for buyers of planning for parcel deliveries, while other participants discuss the ongoing problems with postal tracking updates on eBay.
Hello.
I would like to know why the tracking for my package (delivered) is not up to date on Ebay when on the post office website it says "delivered" ?
I would quite like to open a joint dispute, or a petition, so that this situation is resolved, but I do not know how to do it.
We all know the abuses linked to this huge security flaw, and as a seller I am outraged by all these charges that rest on our shoulders because not only are we not allowed to make mistakes, but moreover the customer can receive our item for free and get refunded quietly by Ebay...
Have a good day everyone.

·2 years agoHello; this situation is almost general, because my ten(approx.)latest orders too are not notified to me, it is the sender who informs me that my parcel is available at the parcel pickup point, moreover they are always marked in transit on eBay, even though I received them weeks ago, even months ago!. Bravo!!!

in my opinion it's just the carrier not informing the site of the parcel update
but also, lose this habit of relying on the site to know; you have the shipping number, go (at least for Europe) to the carrier's site to find out where your parcel is

I’m reassured in the sense that the seller is still protected.
There is still the issue of the lack of updates to resolve for the customer too, especially the one who just checks the progress of their package delivery only on EBay. In fact, they won’t be able to arrange to be present when the package is received.
I hope these problems will be fixed for the good of the Ebay community.
Have a good day.

There, you're mistaken.Responsible buyers need to organize themselves, precisely to avoid having to take emergency leave, or to let the package go back...Organizing can mean all sorts of things, from leaving a note on the mailbox with the trusted neighbor's name who has been informed, to finding someone you know willing to stop by MR to pick up the parcel, or planning to do your shopping where you need to, or....it depends on the type of shipment, the size and value of the item and even the weather, not to mention the flu and the kids who have school or swimming at the other end of the county...
Come on...Happy holidays to you...and to the mothers who pass by here...

Hello @perfectclass ,
I’m sorry to read that you’re having a bad experience on eBay.
As indicated by @Anonymous and @monoiehaka in the event of a dispute, we always check the carrier’s website. If the parcel is shown as delivered there, then you are protected as a seller on eBay.
Even if the parcel is shown as delivered on the eBay site, the buyer will still have the option to open a dispute for item not received.
That is why parcel tracking is important for sellers, because it serves as your proof in this situation.
Parcel tracking is updated on eBay every 24 hours. We are aware that we sometimes have a problem, and our technical team is working to resolve it.
In any case, rest assured that in the event of a dispute, eBay agents are trained to check the carrier’s website before closing it. If the system closes it automatically, then do not hesitate to contact customer service in order to appeal the decision.
Regards
François

·2 years agoAs for me, I returned two items to two different sellers, the returned packages have been shipped and delivered, which is clearly shown on the La Poste website and on the eBay website, but it doesn’t even show that they were shipped or even received, and I’m waiting for a refund and the seller can’t process the refund because the tracking is not up to date and I don’t know what to do to get my refund quickly and have the tracking finally updated because it’s already been four or five days now.
Thanks in advance for taking the necessary steps

·3 years agohello
indeed as fracam38 says the main thing is that on the shipping sites the delivery is up to date
it's been months that there hasn't always been an update on ebay
I ran into a problem but the parcel did arrive on time at the relay point, ebay sided with me, because in the end even if the update isn't done ebay can clearly see the parcel's progress

·3 years agoHello,
It has been the case for a while, but the important thing is that the package is shown as delivered on the postal service website.
In the event of a dispute, that indication takes precedence.
