New Mondial Relay delivery fees starting May 1, 2024
Summary: The discussion addresses the frustration of several eBay sellers regarding a Mondial Relay rate increase announced late for May 1, 2024. mconvert71 criticizes eBay for insufficient notice and suggests informing sellers better in advance. koalagris recommends using the sales terms manager to make changes easier, but that seems complicated for other sellers like gudulle1994, who discovered the new rates while sending a parcel. mustang_f and cejunito raise other issues about the lack of clarity on international rates, while allotami notes that fee increases could discourage buyers, leading to sales cancellations.
Hello. Ebay announced on April 26, 2024 a price increase for Mondial Relay starting May 1st. Exactly the same situation as a year ago. The notice period is too short to change the shipping costs for each seller listing. And on top of that you have to really search the Ebay site to find this change announcement. Personally, I learned about it on the Mondial Relay site. This is not professional at all on Ebay's part!!! It takes a lot of time to update Ebay listings. Recommendations: 1/ Give at least 3 weeks' notice and 2/ Make this announcement via an Ebay message sent to each seller. I am very unhappy with Ebay's management, and you?

·2 years agohello - In any case, we'll have to “eat” part of the shipping costs as sellers because all these shipping cost increases are going to discourage buyers. I just canceled a sale to Italy because I had asked for 10 euros in shipping (actually it's now more than 11 euros) and then the buyer wanted home delivery. Impossible on MR's site. Only pickup point delivery offered. A shipment by La Poste would have cost almost 20 euros. Result: cancellation.

·2 years agoHello,
I called Mondial Relay yesterday to ask whether there might be a bug in their system, since the rate for a shipment to Belgium (from Belgium) of a parcel weighing less than a kilo has gone from 5 eur to 12 eur, but they didn't seem to find that abnormal...
I sent a shipment this morning from Belgium to Germany of 3 kilos for 9 eur !
There must certainly be a mistake somewhere, but they don't seem very good over at MR...
Maybe someone has more details ????
Have a good day,
JP

·2 years agohello
as for me, I can't find the international relay-point delivery rates negotiated between ebay and mondialrelay, there are only home delivery rates?? which have increased a lot in parentheses... can anyone help me? I'm talking about the preferential rates, not the ones you find on the mondialrelay site

and for good reason, there are no pickup points available abroad, it’s Hermes that delivers to your home

·2 years agoHello,
I just discovered this change while sending a parcel, so I have to pay the extra cost since my shipping fees are not up to date.
Also, when you go to the site's Pricing page (“How much does a shipment with the eBay shipping platform cost?”), you still find the old rates! It’s 13/05, and the change dates from 01/05!
So I’m also very unhappy: not only do they not warn us, apparently you have to check the community regularly, and they don’t even keep their docs up to date.
Thanks for the tip @koalagris, even if all this seems pretty complicated for a small individual seller!
Have a good day
Best regards

"Too short notice to modify the shipping fees for each of a seller's listings"
= You don't use the business policy manager?
https://www.ebay.fr/help/selling/business-policies/gestionnaire-des-conditions-de-vente?id=4212&st=3&pos=1&query=Gestionnaire%20des%20conditions%20de%20vente&intent=gestionnaire%20des%20conditions%20de%20vente&lucenceai=lucenceai&docId=HELP1240
It lets you make this kind of change in record time.
Best regards
