For professionals: which provider do you use for your international shipments?
Hello,
I'm addressing the "small" pros, not those who ship hundreds of items a month.
I would have liked to know which provider you use, because with the increase in Colissimo prices, shipping parcels of 1/2/3kg is becoming very expensive..
Thanks

For all shipments------> Colissimo or Chronopost...
Recommend and insure your shipments for the total value of the parcel and you won't have much trouble, if any...
Never forget that if a parcel has been damaged or lost by the carrier, you must refund the buyer for what they paid you, both for the item and for the shipping costs... then you can go after the carrier if you did what was necessary to protect yourself....
If you haven't insured your shipment enough, you risk having to pay out of your own pocket. (that's what insurance is for - it may be more expensive, but at least you're not left paying the price)..
Low-cost shipping shouldn't be the norm...
Best regards

OP1 year agoAre you like I asked, a small pro who ships internationally? Because if you’re offering me Chronopost, I don’t think so! €70 for 2kg, are you planning to make the customer swallow that?

·1 year agoHello @fleamarketfrance
what we need to take away from @lingma85's post (Hello Lingma 🙂 ), is:"Low-cost shipping for parcels should not be the norm..."
And they’re absolutely right!
That said, as far as you’re concerned, your priority is clearly to save money. Unfortunately, the problems will come with that too...
In any case, each seller has their own way of handling shipments according to their own criteria.
Several people have made suggestions, but they don’t suit you. It’s up to you to do your own research on carriers according to your "goals".

OP1 year agoWell, as you say, I’ll manage because, as often on forums, people talk without knowing what they’re talking about.
You criticize low cost while all you sell is cheap Chinese junk..
As for the remark that there’s no small pro, to say that clearly means you don’t ship much.
You think Boulanger or Fnac don’t get different rates than me as a pro?? It also applies, to a different extent, to someone who ships 500 parcels a month.
There are tiers, volumes, and pricing grids depending on those, and that’s true with every carrier.
Anyway, if a mod wants to delete my post, that’ll make room on eBay servers (referring to the photos that are no longer stored, just like our stats for over 2 years..)

"You criticize low cost even though you only sell cheap Chinese junk.."
And what does that have to do with it?... It’s the low cost carriers that I’m criticizing.
"I’m going to figure it out because, as often on forums, people talk without knowing what they’re talking about"
The people who responded to your post know full well what they’re talking about.
The problem is that this is already the second time you’ve come asking for an opinion, while remaining completely closed off to the various suggestions.
So yes, it’s better if you sort it out on your own.
Have a good evening 🙂

OP1 year agoYou're talking about quality, customer satisfaction, etc.. shipping or merchandise, it's the same debate and I'd even say that it's the quality of the merchandise that should be prioritized.
You can have merchandise of poor quality, transport won't save you
If you have good merchandise but average transport, it will affect you, but definitely not as much
No sorry, given some of the answers, some people clearly don't know what they're talking about.
Bringing me Colissimo or Mondial Relay with a cost of €70 for an item worth €60, I clearly wouldn't sell it!
And it's like everything else, when you scale up in volume you get access to other services, other rates. I'm simply asking what other services are used, no one mentioned Upela, Boxtal or Packlink, to name just those, so clearly I'm not talking with people who do volume, or else they like paying more for the same service.

·1 year agonobody mentioned upela, boxtal or packlink you say
Take a quick look on the internet to see the reviews...
- you’ll get an earful...

When you realize that a line of business is no longer profitable for whatever reason... (here, for example, it would be the prohibitive shipping cost...) you have to stop the damage....
- Selling to make statistics is just as ridiculous as trying to prop up a dead branch...
- Selling to make a profit is the very purpose of business, logically enough...
To run a business properly, you need to be able to assess the business to see what's good or bad, and not always try to save money on costs that should be fair and, above all, not put you at a disadvantage if something goes wrong...
But once again... you're the one managing your business...
- losing money is your problem..
but don't be contemptuous toward those who are trying to help you understand at least a few things...
Have a good evening

"Are you like I asked, a small pro who ships internationally" you ask....
There are no "small" or "big/large" pros...
There are only sellers with some experience and/or years behind them who can give you some info...
It’s then up to you to make use of it or not...
The term "pro" only means that these are sellers trying to make a living from what they do..
So... for that, they need as few loss/refund problems as possible.. etc...

·1 year agoHello @fleamarketfrance
you did clearly specify that your question is about international shipping in the title of your original post.
And I think the reply from @jacquelinedu36 took that into account, but she’ll confirm it for you.
jacquelinedu36
·1 year agoHello,
Mondiale Relais everywhere where it is accepted
La Poste for the rest
a bit expensive for shipping costs for France > 36 € ??
fleamarketfrance
OP1 year agoI wasn't precise, sorry.
What interests me is the international side.
frelonverre
·1 year ago@fleamarketfrance
seeing your ads in English I figure that the international of @jacquelinedu36 isn't the same as yours, but in any case the post office remains the safest option for you
shipping cost isn't your problem, you're not the one paying it, US buyers clicking on your items expect that, and you won't sell any better by saving them a few euros

·1 year agoHello @fleamarketfrance
"What interests me is international" = mondial relay is available for 8 other countries

P.S. : "I can't even edit my own post" ; possible only within 5 minutes after publication.
fleamarketfrance
OP1 year agoI didn't feel like juggling with a carrier for certain countries, etc..
I sell in the EU and also a lot outside the EU, and there mondial relay is a lot more complicated
