Pitney Bowes delivery problem
Summary: imneg4n shares an experience about a delivery problem with a package shipped from the United Kingdom by Pitney Bowes. The package was marked as "Undeliverable" by customs. frelonverre advises opening a dispute for a package not received after the deadline. *miss-tigri* explains that the seller will probably retrieve the package, but it’s wise to get a refund before trying to send it again through another carrier. lingma85 recommends having a "Plan B" for a Christmas gift, because of possible customs clearance complications.
Hello,
Following the purchase of sweets in the United Kingdom, I ended up with a Pitney Bowes parcel tracking.
I checked this morning, the tracking is showing "Exception: Undeliverable" with no further reason..
The seller informs me that my item was held up by customs, that the eBay GPS global shipping program will fully refund me in a few days.
What steps should I take? Will I receive my parcel?
I understood after researching that this kind of shipment is "untraceable" because it is impossible to know which carrier would have my parcel once it is rescanned..

when the delivery date has passed, open a non-received parcel dispute
on the other hand, this:
Will I receive my parcel?
of course not

OP10 months agoI find it surprising not to have more info than “undeliverable”. What’s the point of sellers offering international shipping if their parcels are automatically blocked?
Especially since in this case it’s a small quantity, so a small parcel and the customs fees are calculated and paid in advance before shipping, so I don’t understand.. 🤷🏻

Yes, the seller will get their product back.
The parcel was blocked when it entered France, which may not necessarily be the case for other countries, so there is definitely an advantage for the seller to set up international shipping.

·10 months agoWithout knowing the reason for the customs hold-up, I wouldn’t risk making another purchase with a different carrier.

Before considering a new shipment by another carrier...
- get yourself refunded...
( you have the link for "item not received" above... )
If it's a gift for Christmas... plan for a "plan B".. that'll be safer..
Best regards
