hello; since yesterday it's impossible to link my eBay account to Mondial Relay even though everything was still working last week! does anyone else have the same issue?

·1 year agothousands of users are in this mess that eBay seems to be snubbing by not having made a statement and, at the very least, apologizing for the inconvenience! this has been going on for months for me now!
their only responses are to congratulate me on being on eBay for over 10 years, but I'm in the process of testing other sites and eBay may soon become ebeurk, I'll go elsewhere because paying for a shop for a service that isn't provided is unacceptable!

·1 year agoSame for me. While trying to create my Mondial Relay label earlier via the "Import eBay" section, I was able to see that the problem was back. So once again, it's no longer possible to create shipping labels. We're back to the same bug as last week. Unbelievable, honestly! 😡 What are they playing at? Are they going to drag this out for another 10 days!!! Especially since on Monday it was accessible again!

·1 year agoHello everyone!
Yes, the bug still isn't fixed, but honestly over the year there are way fewer bugs between Ebay and Mondial Relay than on La Poste's site....
So yes, it’s getting really annoying to pay full price on the Mondial Relay site, but customers need to be satisfied (I don’t understand some people who wait to send their shipments...)
If the bug isn't fixed within 48 hours, I’ll realign my Mondial Relay shipping rates with the site’s rates, because these times are tricky enough as it is to avoid losing money.
I read the various comments in detail. It’s clear that Ebay’s shipping tool is complicated, incomplete, archaic. For years, shipping methods haven’t been offered for certain destinations (e.g. Austria and Lux in Mondial). It’s incomprehensible.
When you use other well-known online sales platforms, and all you have to do is print a shipping label, that’s when you realize Ebay’s Neanderthal side.
And yet I love Ebay, I’ve been selling there for over 11 years, and buying there for over 20 years. Good visibility, good traffic, honestly nothing to complain about.
But please, Mr. Ebay, think of pro sellers and modernize the shipping section!
Thank you!

·1 year agoNot only is the problem still not resolved after a week (!), but also when we try to go through eBay's hub to avoid making buyers wait any longer, Mondial Relay parcel drop-off points are missing from the proposed list, so we get screwed there too!
Honestly, all of this is in-sup-port-able!
There's no way I'm going through Mondial Relay directly if I have to pay €2-3 more...
Or else eBay should own up and cover the extra cost themselves!
I've rarely seen such amateurishness, or even just plain don't-give-a-damn attitude and contempt for its customers...

·1 year agoHello,
It’s still pretty unbelievable — this bug has been recurring for several years. I think I’ve run into it more than 5 times in 2 years myself! Right now, it’s been 4 days that I’ve been waiting, and still nothing ...
Sometimes this bug gets fixed quickly, other times it can take several days, even weeks! Even if your account is already linked, you lose the pairing for several days.. Some people have experienced this bug for more than 2 weeks without the slightest fix!
It doesn’t affect everyone at the same time, it can work for some and not for others. Anyway, it’s really frustrating and just so you know, when I ship directly via Mondial Relay I sometimes pay twice as much as with an eBay import, especially for small packages ....
Have a good day +++

·1 year agoHello,
I gave in and wanted to go through the Packlink system to benefit from the reduced rates. But I realized too late that I didn't have a QR code, and since I don't have a printer at home to print the label, I'm stuck. Does anyone know if there's a way to retrieve the QR code? Or if it's possible at a relay point to print the label by scanning its barcode?
Thanks in advance.
frelonverre
·1 year ago@jsebdenton
Or if it's possible at a pickup point to print the label by scanning its barcode?
yes but not in a locker and when you drop off a package ask, not all of them are equipped to generate labels
I don't have a QR code and my buyers receive a code on their phone
tachedencre
·1 year agoHi, with the M.R. mobile app, even by going through packlink, the QR code appears and it's possible to print them at a pickup point.
jsebdenton
·1 year agoAh yes, good catch, thanks, that saves me.
On the other hand, for my other parcels I went through the Mondial Relay site at the normal rate, because unfortunately the eBay shipping platform couldn't find the right pickup points; there were far fewer options in the list than on the Mondial Relay site, strange.

·1 year agohello,
at this time: the issue with the link between the two sites for shipments still isn’t working, and Mondial Relay isn’t making any effort to respond quickly to emails or to my requests by phone, seeming reassuring but with no concrete action afterward?!
Following a post in this forum by another participant, "edencollectors", who mentioned that destinations were not being offered even though they existed "POST 50 !
Indeed, it is surprising that Mondial Relay, which offers destinations in Europe with lower rates on its site, are not included in the destination suggestions (list provided by Ebay) on the Ebay site?! So for example: Luxembourg and Austria can be added but not the case? So are communications between the two sites complicated or not developed enough? That might explain the failure to resolve this issue? It should be known that for several years EBAY's external partnerships have gradually been taken over by EBAY itself in order to avoid entrusting profits to other companies... Commission negotiations (to be passed on to partners) etc. are a significant part of the will to resolve problems; it puts a certain amount of pressure, a bit like in our world where the leaders of countries make no effort until they have gotten what they want from the other side...
l_oiseaurare
·1 year agoa bit fed up with this lack of progress on things, I decided to pay more on the Mondial Relay site (if the shipping limit is reached) and therefore not go through the preferential rates! As for signing up for an account on the shipping platform linked to the site, I started the process but realized that the Packlink terms are not the same (especially compensation) and it's more complicated to use!!
NB: also, a PayPal payment must necessarily be linked to a SEPA direct debit mandate!!! (which authorizes the site's debits without any control on my part!!! )
edencollectors
·1 year agoHello, personally I went with a mix between Packlink and Mondial Relay directly. Belgium, in particular, isn’t offered on Packlink as delivery to a parcel pickup point, only to home delivery (so three times more expensive). So I switched to Mondial Relay; I lose a bit on it, but at least the customers will be delivered.
This is the third time we’ve had this problem on eBay, plus countless other problems (services absent from the terms of sale in particular, and I’m not even talking about Packlink). At some point eBay is going to have to make a decision, either they leave us full control over shipping, and then we choose the service we want without having to go through arbitrary contortions, or else they take over shipping, v***ed style, and we just print the labels and stick them on the packages.
As for me, the second option would suit me just fine.
Best regards.

·1 year agoHello.
No resolution at this time.
When I write this to my customers to let them know:
Good evening. Many thanks for your purchase. Since Monday, there has been a computer issue with the link between eBay and Mondial Relay, unresolved at this time, which means sales no longer appear on the Mondial Relay site. Sellers therefore cannot ship their parcels to buyers.
If this likely shipping delay is a problem for you, I can cancel your purchase and refund you.
I will keep you updated anyway.
Kind regards

and what are you waiting for? go fill out your labels on the MR site, you'll only lose a few euros

mconvert71
·1 year agoThanks for your advice. Of course I’ve informed all my buyers and keep them updated, and fortunately they’re all understanding and patient. I sell books without deliberately making much margin (I prioritize volume over price, price-volume elasticity, marketing class in progress^^) and so if I pay more for shipping costs, I’ll have made sales for nothing. And on top of that, to send a direct Mondial Relay shipment, you have to ask the buyer for all their contact details (name, address, email, phone number) because it’s not in eBay.
frelonverre
·1 year ago@mconvert71
that's also true, but asking doesn't expose you to anything, my wife used the same line on me but managed to find the shipping address, only the phone number remains and in that case we put ours, we're notified and from there we send the code to the buyer by email
but I don't know if retransmitting a QR code in PDF works
but it's better to take a zero hit than to end up in a dispute and have to fight with eBay to get a tomato removed

·1 year agoGood evening everyone,
While waiting for this to work again on Mondial Relay to process eBay orders, don’t forget that you also have the option to ship with Packlink available on eBay.
The rates seem to be the same as on the Mondial Relay website.
I hope my small contribution can be useful to you!
edencollectors
·1 year agoHello, yes this was discussed above in the thread, but many of us refuse to use eBay's shipping platform, which is unreliable, much less advantageous, and doesn't offer all of Mondial Relay's destinations.
When you see that it's still impossible, when creating a listing, to select Mondial Relay for certain international deliveries that do in fact exist, you quickly realize that shipping is absolutely not the site's priority. Its only priority is to make money, plain and simple. What happens to customers or sellers is completely incidental.
l_oiseaurare
·1 year agoHello, indeed it is surprising that Mondial Relay, which offers destinations in Europe with cheaper rates on its website, are not included in the destination suggestions (list provided by eBay) on the eBay site?! ·1 year agoI live in Belgium and for our small minority country:
- either we use eBay France and the shipping platform is unusable in Belgium
- or we use eBay Belgium and the shipping platform only offers UPS and DPD, which are way too expensive.
So the temporary solution proposed by eBay doesn't work; the only thing that worked was importing from Mondial Relay (via eBay France!) Anyway, long live Europe 😊

Basically, you communicate an exact price to the seller (Ebay preferential rates for Mondial Relay) and it's you who has to make up the difference for shipping costs!!!
And I won't even get into the subject of the IT staff's level, who after 3 days still haven't resolved anything, unless that was intentional!!!

She praises the identical rates but rejects the idea that eBay could do anything since the problem is with Mondial Relay! Well, if I believe what Mondial Relay customer service told me, it’ll be resolved sometime today! Worth noting that I brought up the issue of the negative points ( % ) and I didn’t get an answer, given that the conversation kept turning toward directing me to the eBay shipping platform! You should know that the shipping platform page leaves no other choice than to accept!! No link to the terms we’re asked to read before accepting, and the “no thanks” link isn’t clickable, so it’s a dead end, and when you try to get out of it, it freezes?! Strange!

·1 year agoHello the Ebay shipping platform, I’m avoiding it because Ebay or Packlink in this case become the customer and when you have a problem well they don’t file the claim. I had a parcel that went from the initial drop-off point, to the warehouse, then back to the drop-off point; it was a bug confirmed by the carrier and they couldn’t issue me a credit as long as Packlink/Ebay didn’t open a claim. ·1 year agoHi and hello community, I had already posted about the issue that’s putting me at a disadvantage, and it’s clearly affecting a lot of us in this recurring situation, which is absolutely unacceptable, especially when you’re a professional and paying for a service!
As for me, I haven’t had access to the eBay shipping platform for more than 5 months now!
I still had access a few weeks ago via the mondialrelay site to import sales there and link my eBay account, but that’s over too, because it opens the eBay page asking for my password, which I enter, then the page that opens is to authorize access to the mondial app and... the next page that opens asks me for my password again, so it just goes round in circles.
Right now I have 5 parcels to send and I’m blocked.
I got a reply from mondial relais saying the problem isn’t on their end, and the last reply I got from eBay, dated March 13, is: Madam (no no, I’m a man), we’ve been partnered for 11 years and 2 months (great, thanks),
Following a check to respond to your email and reassure you, we inform you that there is a small general technical problem linking the two accounts, but the case is currently under review, and we are doing everything we can to offer you a solution and resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
And we recommend that if you have orders to send, go directly through the site...

you only link these two accounts once so if it worked before it should still work
personally I import ebay sales from my mondial relay account and not from ebay to mondial relay

·1 year agowell no, the system means we have to link them every time or very often! and that doesn't work anymore.
makes you think ebay is hoping we'll go through their platforms.
