As for the pickup point, it was really deplorable.
First of all, the address was not correct and on top of that, during opening hours, the person in charge was not there.
So I asked for home delivery and I would have agreed to pay the difference.

·3 years agoHello.
Reading this message, it seems to me that this is a foreign person trying to explain themselves in French.
I reconstruct their story as follows: they placed an order, then, before paying, they sent a message to the seller to ask for home delivery, agreeing to pay the difference. The seller did not take this into account and they are unhappy because the pickup point was not suitable for them, and, moreover, was not open at the indicated times. They do not seem to be asking for anything, merely sharing their experience on the forum provided for that purpose.
Since it’s not only people who feel uncomfortable in our language who make this kind of mistake, here is:
1) As @*miss-tigri* reminds us, (Hello!) you must always contact the seller BEFORE doing anything. If they agree, if it’s an auction, they can change the shipping method by adding another one before the end of it; if it’s an immediate purchase, they can do it quickly.
2)Don’t forget to check the listing: most sellers, polite and sensible, reply yes or no to messages. But some just make the change. (That’s happened to me). And others...say yes but don’t change the listing......(that’s happened to me too....)
3)Once the order has been placed, it’s difficult for sellers to change the shipping method...hence the importance of sorting that out BEFORE.
Kind regards.

if you clicked on "buy" it means you read the listing and that you accepted all the listing's conditions.
asking a question afterward is no longer useful.
Wouldn't you be the type to read a contract after signing it
then complain because
you didn't know that ...
you didn't want that ...
you don't agree that ...

·3 years agoHello, @flashs92
This person is clearly not very comfortable in French (nothing surprising on a site that allows international transactions).
But this is an honest person: they paid for their purchase despite their mistake, since it was delivered to them!!! Not like those who habitually default on payments (and whom sellers rightfully complain about....)
So they do not deserve to be brushed off so harshly. Better to explain it to them.....and to the others at the same time....
Best regards.

·3 years agoHello,
I don't think Sylol-41 is a foreigner.
The mistakes made are not those of a foreigner
"je n'est pas instead of je n'ai pas"
I never said he was dishonest.
But unfortunately he has an attitude that is becoming more and more common,
signing a contract, because clicking on I buy corresponds to signing a contract, without reading it and without asking questions first.
This very often leads either to misunderstandings or to a lack of understanding, or disputes that would not have happened if the buyer had done everything in the right order
And when I was selling on Ebay, at the beginning I was lenient with buyers acting like this, even though my listings were very detailed since I included the shipping methods and costs, whether individual or combined, the accepted payment methods, all that in the body of the listing itself, and I simply asked for the sale to be canceled.
After a while when you have dozens of times the
"I didn't know, I didn't read the listing, I don't read listings I just look at the photo and the price'
…
I tell myself that if I took the trouble to detail a listing that the buyer does not take the trouble to read, too bad for him and it was a dispute for non-payment.
It was nothing too serious since it doesn't show up anywhere and there is no negative feedback but just to make a point.
I would say that pointing it out to them now might encourage them to pay more attention next time to avoid consequences that would be much more serious in real life"

·3 years agoI think it's a foreigner because these are construction mistakes, very few spelling mistakes, it's typical of someone who learned our language in a very "school-like" way, but thinks in another language. Of course, it could be a fake....but in that case, I don't really see the point...except to give us the opportunity to recall a few basic tips...
I understand your exasperation, but...

I didn't say it was a simulator.
But unfortunately grammar and spelling are being butchered more and more.
And yet it's not my strong suit, but it's becoming dramatic.
A foreigner who doesn't master French would use a translator and/or wouldn't make the mistake between the 2 auxiliary verbs "être" and "avoir"
if it's a mix-up between these 2 auxiliary verbs, a foreigner would have made the same mistake too
in "Déjà l adresse n était"
and "j aurai accepté de régler la différence"

Your confidence in the "translators" is touching....(just read some of the posts ...)
As for being and having, not to mention the infinitive and the participle(s)...oh la la!!! (or " là là": both are accepted) an old story!!! Already the Academy was looking into the issue in the 18th century... Not to mention the commas...
But what is striking is... the apostrophe. Not one. A matter of language or keyboard, or even.... both... You noticed it, by the way, by faithfully quoting passages.
Besides, foreign or not, fake or not, it ultimately doesn't matter: what counts in the end is trying to understand where the mistakes and misunderstandings come from by confronting viewpoints, especially the most distant ones... and perhaps managing to avoid some of them...
Best regards.

·3 years agoIf you haven't completed the payment, you receive automatic reminders from eBay and, in the end, a warning for non-payment ...
Another delivery method is negotiated before purchase by contacting the seller ...

if you haven’t completed payment for your order, it’s quite surprising that the seller went ahead and shipped it.
That said, what exactly is your question?
