Account deleted without reason
Summary: Anonymous User explained that after creating an account and listing two keyboards for sale, their account was deactivated without explanation, even after providing the requested documents. frelonverre suggested contacting customer service, but Anonymous User said they refused to provide detailed reasons. crazy-bear assumed that selling new items in quantity could be a problem, but Anonymous User clarified that they were Christmas gifts. Several participants discussed the platform’s practices regarding the handling of personal data, with Anonymous User expressing concerns about the security of their information. Overall, the sentiment expressed is one of strong frustration with the platform.
I created an account today and put 2 keyboards up for sale.
The ad is published and a few hours later I receive an email saying that my payments are suspended.
Several hours later I receive an email saying that my listings have been removed and that I must provide my ID, proof of address and invoice.
I give them this and they tell me that my account is permanently disabled.
They gave me no justification for this.
I have never seen this on any sales platform.
I should point out that I had an Ebay account that I had the support team delete last year and I had only made purchases for years.
Maybe that's what's blocking it.
Surprising

FYI, here's why the site never gives the reasons for the block:

OP2 years agoOn the other hand, they don't mind asking for our personal documents (ID and proof of address) even though they knew full well they weren't going to unblock the account.
Mafia-like practice and a huge red flag on this platform.
No one knows what they'll do with this data.

first of all, it’s not necessarily the same people who blocked the account and requested the data, and then if you didn’t like it, you shouldn’t have given it
and you didn’t give your bank details, because a seller account can’t work without them
Anonymous User
OP2 years agoIf I had known that it was useless, I wouldn't have given them.
There are always people to defend the indefensible, it's incredible.
I gave my IBAN, yes.
So they also have my bank details.

we're not here to defend the indefensible; we often see people coming to complain about problems with the site, but when you “dig a little,” you see that they have broken the rules imposed by the site and are giving us a sanitized version of their history
you’re addressing a forum where the respondents are just regular users of the site with no decision-making power
so the site booted you, it won’t do anything with your data, so forget it and go cook your stuff somewhere else
have a happy holiday season

@Anonymous
So they also have my bank details.
For the flip:
You can ask your bank to revoke the direct debit authorization.
Kind regards

·2 years agoHello @Anonymous
You had put new items up for sale in multiple quantities even though you registered as an individual.
Anonymous User
OP2 years agoIf not, you're only making assumptions.
And I only resold Christmas gifts that my sister and I received.
I don't see what the problem is

I read your description before replying to you, so these aren't assumptions ...
You seem surprised by what's happening to you, so I'll give you the reason.
It's up to you to explain your situation to customer service, since it's obvious that the problem comes from there.
Anonymous User
OP2 years agoAnyway, oh well, platform to avoid at all costs.
Zero professionalism and potential resale of data

OP2 years agoBesides, they just confirmed by email that they won't do it.
Mafia-style method.

what if you asked the one place that has the answer: customer service
Anonymous User
OP2 years agoIt's incomprehensible.
And they refuse the complete deletion of my identity documents in the event that their decision is final.
What kind of platform is this, seriously?
