Seller rating invisible after 1 year of inactivity
Summary: A user, artdecomik, complains that their 100% sales rating on eBay is no longer visible after a year of inactivity, even though they received no negative feedback, only the absence of recent ratings. Another participant, koalagris, clarifies that the rating percentage is still calculated based on the last 12 months, suggesting that the situation has not changed. artdecomik then has a message deleted for insulting remarks. lingma85 and frelonverre discuss the importance of ratings and changes in the system, while emphasizing the importance of respectful dialogue.
My 100% rating no longer appears in my public feedback profile since the latest changes at eBay.
The reason? I haven't received any feedback in over 12 months, despite a few sales; buyers never left their feedback.
Worse, in some searches, my profile mysteriously appears with 0% even though I haven't received any negative feedback.
All of this because I'm a private seller and I haven't received any feedback over the last 12 months.
Allow me to tell you @ebay that after 23 years of being registered and no issues, I will no longer list any items for sale on this platform.

·7 months agoHello @artdecomik
Ratings are not mandatory even though they can give an +/- accurate reflection of an account profile... You have 65 ratings..
Any regular user with even a little curiosity will know how to use your profile and find the ratings there by "clicking" on those received as a buyer and as a seller...
You use this account very little...
- nothing indicates there that you may have an unkind attitude when you speak on a forum... and that's a shame...
You were right to come...
Kind regards

I really like this kind of thinking from a member who clearly has no idea what he's talking about
so, to "shed light" on the subject, it was the moderation team at the time (2007) that encouraged respondents to have "forum-only" usernames so they could reply without fearing that some bitter vindictive jerk would come and stir up trouble in our listings in retaliation for a response that didn't satisfy him
so no lessons to give or receive

and what does it matter, do you imagine being less credible with a rating than with 0?
it's not a big deal, o, we're past the age of "good marks"

= ???
The % has always been calculated based on the ratings received over the last 12 months.
Those who have none have therefore always been at 0%, no matter how long ago they signed up.
