Direct PayPal payment request
This is the first time I’ve sold an item on eBay, a buyer contacts me via eBay messaging, and tells me that he’ll pay me directly by PayPal and also add a price for Chronopost shipping.
He sends me his PayPal email and asks me to send him a payment request.
I’m wondering, what’s the risk? Why not directly, especially for an item worth around 1000 euros.
Thanks for your feedback, best regards.

What a risk...??
- fake email account
- fake PayPal
- no recourse in the event of fraudulent payment...
For you ===> loss of money + loss of item...
- etc...
If your possible "generous" buyer is being so insistent... it's suspicious and you felt it...
If they can pay you directly... they can just as well pay you through the site, since for them it doesn't change the expense, on the one hand... and they'd also be protected in case of damage, non-compliance or non-receipt of their purchase...
The best thing for you is to stop this future scam/deception right away...
Save yourself..
Best regards
