Hello,

A buyer places a bid near the end of the sale, wins the auction, then changes their mind: they no longer want to buy.

In the meantime, I sent the payment request.

I'd be happy to send them a sale cancellation request "at the buyer's request" but will I have to pay selling fees?

And what if in the end they don't accept the request?

(and I miss a sale 😠 and end up with a ton of complications)

Indeed, I no longer remembered exactly how it worked for offering the second chance offer...

So I put the item back up for sale as a buy-it-now and sold it the same day.

And it all ended well...

I submitted a cancellation request "at the buyer's request".

eBay tells me: all good, you don't have anything else to do... (I thought the buyer had to accept it for it to be approved: that surprised me)

One more question: I thought that if a buyer withdrew, you could offer the item to the next highest bidder (who usually had moved on and in the end wasn't buying the item 😂).

Is that no longer offered now?
