·1 year agoHello,
My payments have been blocked for over a month now for a refund on an item, shipping included, marked as returned by a buyer with no proof whatsoever (eBay tracking empty and tracking number unknown to the carrier) and that I never received. I contacted the buyer to confirm shipment but got no response. eBay considers that I must have received the item without taking the tracking into account and automatically marks the item as "delivered." This platform has lost some of its reliability and unfortunately leaves the door wide open to scams at sellers' expense. I no longer know what to do, with the automated systems being inconsistent and discouraging. I am waiting, in the hope that one day or another eBay will make a smart decision that matches the situation. For now, I have removed all my items from sale to avoid further problems. No seller is meant to lose time and money.

·1 year agoHello,
I’m a small occasional seller and I understand your frustration. After a break because I had nothing to sell, I came back to sell a few items that I no longer use.The first eBay message is :
Your funds will be available for payout as soon as we receive delivery confirmation
Hello strasna,
We are changing the way we handle payments on eBay. Going forward, your funds will be available for payout within 72 hours of the item's delivery being confirmed. In the meantime, your funds will be held. This process helps keep our site secure.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Thank you for your loyalty to the eBay Community.
I already told myself back then that I wasn’t going to sell on eBay anymore, but anyway, I’ve had my account since 2008 and everything has gone relatively well, except that some buyers, once they’ve received the parcel, don’t confirm that delivery has taken place and don’t leave feedback. It’s all very well for eBay to think about keeping the site secure, but in the meantime I have neither a sold item nor the money. We all like Santa Claus, but unfortunately he doesn’t pay the bills. If we’re going to follow this logic, all online stores should be paid on delivery and not when the order is placed. For now I haven’t listed all the items for sale; I wanted to see how long I have to wait for the funds to be released. The system that’s being put in place is what I call credit, it’s like the person who goes to the corner shop at the baker’s and buys groceries every day and the baker writes it down in a notebook and only pays at the end of the month when he gets his money. It’s really not serious at all.

·1 year agoThanks for the info, I’ve read the Terms and Conditions from start to finish more than once, and the rules are necessary and welcome against anarchy. A member for 17 years, I’ve seen the rules go off in every direction, how do you say it: too many rules kill the rules, but on top of that it creates a feeling of insecurity and doesn’t make you feel confident; on the contrary, I have constant stress and a knot in my stomach while we wait to get paid, not to mention, at the limit, a feeling of being robbed. 21 days is an eternity compared with the good old days when you got your money the moment you shipped, especially since the buyer receives their purchase in a few days. My wife has always told me: take a trash bag and throw everything away instead of getting worked up over a few euros, but you chose us, so here’s to happiness and good health!

·1 year agoGood evening @strasna
the "new" payment system must have been put in place while you were away. Since you're registered in Luxembourg, I don't know when it became effective in your country (for France, it was in April 2021). As a result, despite how long you've been on the site, you're considered a new seller or occasional seller. And that's what triggers this verification period.
But after that, transfers will be made within 48 hours (depending on your bank's processing times).
