Fees
Summary: berreb44 shared his difficulties with eBay billing regarding the sale of cards. Despite his efforts to update his payment information, he was unexpectedly charged for listing cards that were supposed to be free. frelonverre mentioned that removing the listings does not change the fees, while felin12 and noctisauxroses advise checking the billing details for any unintended paid options. jacquelinedu36 suggests letting the family handle the sale. The advice centers around contacting eBay customer service to resolve the issue.
In October 2023, I put up for sale the 150 cards that I could list for free, just one sale for a lot at 2 euros, eBay asked me to correct my account details in order to pay and receive payment. With great difficulty — I’m over 80 years old — I managed to update my payment methods. I did not relist my listings since eBay could not pay me the sale price. Once I succeeded yesterday, I decided to relist the cards that were blocked since for this month I was entitled to 150 free listings, but unfortunately the listing of these 100 cards was charged to me at 33.40, I removed them from sale immediately and wanted to close my account, but eBay is asking me for these 29.35 euros to close my account. I cannot pay if I list the 150 cards I am entitled to plus 50 euros, when over the previous 3 months I sold 2 € worth of cards

·2 years agoHello,
Give the rest of your cards to your family to sell them

·2 years agoListings without options, up to a limit of 150 per month, are completely free.
If Ebay charges you, it can only be either a delayed invoice or paid options.
Be careful when you post an ad, the basic ad is free, but every option is paid, and it can add up very quickly. In my opinion you have activated all the paid options on your ad
In any case, you will only be able to sort out your issue with customer service.

@berreb44
you’ll need to get in touch with Ebay customer service by having them call you,
because according to what you wrote, nothing adds up.
100 items (paid) at 0.35 incl. tax makes 35 euros, but not 33.40 euros.
Check the details of Ebay’s invoice again carefully, didn’t you take out any paid options in October or when relisting the items for November?
