Hello,
I'm trying out the seller experience with a first test item, with the idea of developing a little hi-tech shop in the near future..
what a bad surprise, totally inconsistent, to be notified of a 15-day hold on my funds, for a product I mainly sell for parts or to tinkerers!! I can easily see the buyer taking the parts and then asking for a refund and returning the item.
and after... really not up to par in some categories in 2024 Ebay

long-time former eBay customer (different account), I’d forgotten this closure but it didn’t seem automatic to me. Besides, after a pretty heated call to the hotline manager back then, an hour later my funds were unlocked.. as they say, with a bit of legal pressure their more than borderline methods don’t hold up!
eBay, PayPal, dinosaurs from a bygone era. Not sure sellers outside the EU get hassled as much.. anyway

the site is, in turn, trying to test your skills as a seller on this site
that's how it is you either bend to the rules or you forget about this site

and think about getting yourself a politeness and good behavior pack for the future

so for your information the respondents have forum-specific usernames so they can answer what we think without suffering the wrath of an irritable and vindictive poster
it's the moderators themselves who encouraged us to do it and for me it's been that way since 2007
