Unable to update bank account - how do I contact customer service?

I’m navigating total madness... Living in French-speaking Switzerland, years ago I created an account on the ebay.fr site. I just sold an item for the first time, and I can’t get my bank details validated to receive my payment because:
- an ebay.fr account requires a bank account in France
- I do not have a bank account in France
On the contact request page, the "call me back" option only accepts French phone numbers - and I have a Swiss number. Going through the Swiss site, I get redirected to Germany, with nobody who speaks French or English... When by some miracle I get redirected to French support, I’m told "we’re taking care of your problem and we’ll call you back" - despite verifying my phone number with the operator, I receive automatic notifications saying they couldn’t reach me, even though I have no missed calls. The French site probably can’t contact numbers abroad.
Is there a direct French hotline number to contact ?!!?!

well yes that has always been the case, to sell you need a local address and a bank account in the country where you want to sell, you've rigged the system now it's jammed
the fact is that not speaking German doesn't help, but even if you have a French contact at ebay Switzerland it will be the same, they won't be able to do anything with a French account

I'm going to try to find someone who speaks German to help me... It's really unacceptable on eBay's part... Incorrect and contradictory information, impossible to get support in your own language in your country... Great.

Ebay Switzerland has always been in German.

and your ebay account is indeed registered in Switzerland, not in France...

OP1 year agoNo, it's definitely this one... I've been bounced back and forth between Germany and France, and the French support person I spoke to today told me that my account is on the .fr site

And that is absolutely not the case...
So it is indeed with eBay.ch customer service that the issue needs to be addressed.
