Issue with sales payouts for expats living in the USA
Summary: amazone.54 is having trouble receiving payments for their eBay sales after moving from France to the USA. Despite registering their U.S. bank details, the transfers are not going through. frelonverre suggests creating a new eBay account in the United States to avoid these problems, while *miss-tigri* recommends contacting eBay customer service. red71-2011 suggests using PayPal, but koalagris points out that this is not possible for eBay sales payouts. lingma85 advises checking the international transfer details with their U.S. bank and contacting FEVAD to resolve the blockage.
I created my Ebay account when I was living in France many years ago, I now live in the USA and have for 8 years.
I was able to sell on Ebay a few months ago from the US 聽but I am not able to receive the payments from my sales. Ebay is asking me to update my bank information to receive these payments, which are blocked, but it switches to Ebay France and asks me for an IBAN, something that does not exist in the US. I have tried everything but nothing works. I no longer have a bank account in France, only in the US.
I registered my US bank account 聽and a bank card to receive my payments and Ebay tells me that micro-transfers are in progress on my bank account, I have been trying for months but nothing appears on my bank account???
If anyone can get me out of this situation, thank you in advance 馃檪

Indeed, bank details for France/Europe and US/Canada are totally different...
聽
You may have already done it... but if not.. try this---->
- ask your US bank for a form for international transfers that you鈥檒l fill out with your details and your address and, above all, the 17-digit ACCT Code, which is your bank鈥檚 ID...
(transfers cost money, no matter the amount, and that may be what鈥檚 causing the site鈥檚 micro-transfers to get stuck)...
聽
- once this form is filled out, contact the FEVAD mediation service (you鈥檒l find their contact details online - consumer protection against online companies including eBay ) and explain this block with the evidence you have (email exchanges, for example)... It may take a little time to resolve, but I think it鈥檚 a solution not to rule out... otherwise you鈥檒l have to give up on your money for good...

路2 years agoHello,
聽
Try creating a PayPal account because with a PayPal account, you can receive money without systematically transferring it to a bank account.
All you need to do is link the PayPal account to a bank card.
It takes a few days to validate the PayPal account, but that might solve your problem.
聽
Personally, I have a Swiss PayPal account and I am a buyer/seller based in France. I can't transfer money to my bank account in France for two reasons. The first is that I haven't linked the bank account with the PayPal account for security reasons, and the second is that in any case, to prevent money laundering, Swiss banks block all bank transfers coming from abroad without justification.
聽
Your problem is getting the money that is on Ebay out to either your bank account or a payment platform.
I really think PayPal could be the solution. In your case, since you live in the United States, create an international PayPal and check with your bank whether it accepts PayPal transfers to your bank account.聽 In principle, yes, but it depends on the country.

路2 years agoHello @red71-2011聽
聽
What you recommend can only apply to purchases, in no case to sales, since ebay pays sellers ONLY by bank transfer (impossible via paypal)...
聽
However amazone clearly states: "but am not able to receive the payments from my sales".

Best regards

Wow, they even locked that down.
It's becoming hell to sell on eBay. ^^ It's really the inquisition, indeed ^^.
聽
It was going so well before, I don't understand why they did that, but oh well.
I guess I can't delete my previous comment either.

路2 years agoThe problem is that ebay has never been able to handle a change of country, even internally: the T&Cs will always be those of the original registration country, so it's better to create a new account; that avoids multiple complications (especially in terms of sales).
聽
"I guess I can't delete my previous comment either" = no member can delete their own post, there's only 5 minutes to edit it (except for newcomers who don't yet have the forum status "ebay member")... after that, all that's left is the option to issue an erratum.

helping you is unfortunately not an option available to respondents
logic would have dictated that you sort everything out before putting items up for sale, by creating a new account in the US and selling from that account
good luck聽
