Hello,
I would like to understand how ebay works: how is it that people bid or make an offer that the seller accepts and then don’t pay? Can’t they be penalized? I supposedly sold a poor phone 4 times and none of them paid, so on ebay it shows me items sold when they aren’t, amounts received when nothing was received. Honestly, I think I’m giving up and going back to **bleep** or **bleep** where people pay immediately or else they are penalized. I’ve known Ebay for a very long time and never before have I had this kind of attitude!!!

You can set up your acct so that sales are canceled if they aren’t paid after 4 days.
And you can also prevent certain members from bidding, and block those who have 2 or more unpaid sales.

the problem is that this is becoming recurring
if ebay takes a fingerprint of these phantom buyers' credit card, when the account is opened this avoids a waste of time and money for the seller (especially in the case of promotional offers) where he loses it

Immediate payment is an excellent tool for combating unpaid items, but it only applies to the Buy It Now format.

it only applies to the buy it now format.
the problem comes from there
so an immediate payment option should be possible for all sales
that way there'd be no more problems with ghost buyers and ebay would get its commissions

While waiting for a possible change to the Terms of Use, we have to work within the rules currently in place, and make sure to relay the available options as detailed as possible to those who come here asking questions.
