Buyer from Taiwan...
Summary: lemarcheaupuces questions how a user from Taiwan was able to buy one of their items despite an exclusion on deliveries to that country. lingma85 explains that it is possible to cancel the order if Taiwan is indeed excluded, and francexpressdeal suggests contacting the buyer, who may have a valid address. lemarcheaupuces realizes that buyers often have several addresses and confirms that the package will be sent to Montpellier after payment. felin12 adds that eBay does not show delivery addresses before payment, which makes lemarcheaupuces' case understandable. The problem has thus been solved.
good evening...
how is it possible that a user from Taiwan was able to buy one of my items?
it is clearly stated in the listing, no shipping to Taiwan.
maybe he has another address where I ship?
any info would be appreciated,
have a good evening.

·3 years agoHello everyone
@lemarcheaupuces
Indeed, before a payment
Ebay gives the seller no information to identify the location of the shipping address when a purchase is made by an Ebay member from an excluded country.
(provided it hasn't been found)
best regards

OP3 years agoHello...
that's exactly it.
I could see the buyer's location but not the shipping address.
buyers often have several destination addresses.
and at checkout they can choose which address the package should be sent to.
the buyer has paid and the destination is Montpellier (they're traveling).
Thanks for all the info and have a nice Sunday.

·3 years agoHello @lemarcheaupuces
You have the option to cancel this order, because indeed, Taiwan is excluded from the countries you ship to... it's indicated on this listing... but also and above all.... indicated in your eBay here-----> https://www.ebay.fr/ship/prf/excludeRegions
which makes it possible to have identical settings for all listings.. (which does not seem to be the case for some of your listings...)
Kind regards

OP3 years agoGood evening...
yes, Taiwan is blocked in "exclude regions".
I checked before posting here.
I sell abroad.
But not to Taiwan and others.
my exclude regions is based on small items.
but some continents and countries are blocked because no tracking available (door to door).
items over 2.8 cm thick are sold only in the European Union (if tracked door to door) and Switzerland and a few other exceptions.
in that case I block, manually, the countries to which colissimo international is too expensive.
here is a screenshot for Taiwan.
Have a good evening.
ps... maybe this buyer has another address where I ship.
Very common practice in the US.
for now no payment received.
I’ll know more sooner or later.

·3 years agoGood evening @lemarcheaupuces
if it reassures you, the simplest thing is to contact the buyer to find out what’s going on.
Logically, since your account is perfectly set up, they must have entered a delivery address in a country you accept.

OP3 years agoGood evening...
I think it's very possible.
years ago I canceled the bid of a buyer from a blocked country.
he later told me that he had an address in the US.
I'll give this buyer a few days...
I hope eBay doesn't block payments from a customer in a country where I don't ship.
it was an option with PayPal.
good evening...
