Scam after sale
I sold a sealed Pokémon box dating from 2019.
Shortly after, I receive a message from the buyer who opens a dispute and tells me that he opened the box and discovered boosters dating from 2022 inside the box. Which is obviously impossible.
I have sold several Pokémon boxes like this and this is the first time this has happened.
How can I get out of this scam please?
Thank you for your help, it's a purchase of over 100 euros.
Have a nice day

·1 year agoHello,
I'm in a somewhat similar situation, well not for fraud, I hope my buyer is acting in good faith 🤞but I sold a game that apparently doesn't work on their console. I'd like to send them the return slip, but on the other hand they also blocked the transfer, so I can't access the part of the interface that lets me provide the information about the slip and send the label. Basically, the transfer opposition blocks everything and I get a message telling me that "This return request is closed". So I no longer know what I'm supposed to do ...
Did you find a solution on your side ?
Thank you
Thank you

·1 year agoHello,
Since there is a dispute for non-compliant item, you will have to refund the buyer but ONLY after receiving the item back.
Unfortunately, you may end up getting the box back with 2022 boosters and it will be very difficult to win your case with eBay.
This type of scam with returns is well known here, another member may have an idea.

Yes, it’s scary, and today the buyer blocked the transfer he had made to me by going through his bank. eBay seems to be washing its hands of all this... I’m at a dead end...
