Negative reviews
Summary: philmorea expresses frustration as a seller on eBay, highlighting the lack of ways to defend themselves against buyers who don’t pay, since sellers can no longer leave negative feedback. They mention that their last two sales went unpaid and are considering no longer using eBay for this reason. *miss-tigri* replies that canceling an unpaid sale can result in a warning for the buyer, and explains that removing the option to leave negative feedback is intended to prevent extortion.
For a long time on eBay, I’ve sadly noticed that sellers have fewer and fewer ways to defend themselves.
An item not paid for by a buyer, who doesn’t respond to messages or repeated follow-ups, and it’s not even possible to leave negative feedback. The only solution: cancel the sale! It’s too easy
There’s no possibility either of opening a dispute; in that case they ask us there too to cancel the sale, or even relist it.
My last two items sold have not been paid for and I have no way to defend myself. The buyer is the nice one and the seller the bad one.
I’m finishing my last sale and I’ll relist my unpaid items, but obviously not on eBay anymore.
As an eBay customer since 2002, I’m extremely disappointed to end up like this.

If you cancel your sale because of non-payment, the buyer will get a warning and after two, will no longer be able to buy or bid from sellers who have set their sales that way ..
Since there has been too much abuse with the negative feedback blackmail, eBay chose to remove this option from sellers ..
