Package France > USA one-month transit time and nervous buyer
Summary: hawk03331 sold an item in the United States, but the package experienced a long transit delay due to an unexpected layover. Despite taking all necessary precautions and providing proof of shipment, the buyer is frustrated and opened a dispute on eBay. max2661953 advises keeping all the evidence because it could be useful, while nascarvintage17 shares their experience, recommending a more expensive but faster postal service, noting that their customers prefer to pay more for a more reliable service.
Hello,
I sold an item in the United States. I sent the package within the 3 business days indicated in the listing, with ultra-secure double packaging, etc.
Unfortunately, the package made a stopover in a transit country (I didn't know that was possible for packages, but in the end it seems pretty logical) and it should finally arrive in about a month.
Even though I did everything I was supposed to, and responded to all the buyer's requests, and provided proof of shipment and secure packaging, etc., he is rather aggressive (without being insulting). In any case, he blames me for the transit delay and opened a dispute where eBay will be able to step in starting tomorrow.
My question is this: does he have any chance of winning the dispute, even though the package is still on its way and, on my side, to put it simply, there's nothing I can do if it's slow...
Thank you for your help.

·2 years agowell first of all know that if you simply go through "La Poste" your parcel leaving France for the United States will take just 8 days! yes 8 days, I know because I send about 10 parcels from France to the United States so the costs are 32.60€ it’s a bit expensive indeed but as they say all the time and as proof, quality costs, so does the delivery and in the end my customers are just totally happy and prefer to pay 32.60€ rather than 15€ to get a parcel in a month and not even be sure of it either

·3 years agoGood evening, @hawk03331 ,
does he have a chance of winning the dispute
I'm afraid so.
Keep all your evidence safe, it will surely be useful later.
