How to sell on eBay.
Summary: de598666 is looking for advice on selling bulky items on eBay, expressing uncertainty about shipping and payment procedures. koalagris recommends checking eBay’s help section for detailed information on selling, registering as a seller, sending items, and receiving payments. aimeemich advises starting with lower-value items to avoid scams and recommends Mondial Relay for affordable shipping, while pointing out the need to print the shipping labels yourself. This person reminds them that it’s normal to make mistakes at the beginning of the process.
It's been quite a while already that I've wanted to get rid of a lot of bulky, useless items, and I thought it would be a good idea to sell them on Ebay.
However, I've never sold items on the internet, and I know absolutely nothing about the different procedures I'll have to go through to send my packages to a potential buyer
As for posting the photos on Ebay, there's no problem. But it's the transaction that raises a lot of questions for me.
Should I put my items in a specific type of box?
What should I write on the box?
Should I send my item to a post office or somewhere else to mail it?
How will a potential buyer pay me for my item and when?
Are there any other steps to take that I don't know about?
So there you have it, I'm a bit lost and uncertain as you can read.
I'm looking forward to reading your replies anyway.

A piece of advice I give you: don’t start with valuable items. It’s important to build yourself a profile with positive reviews, otherwise you’re opening the door to all kinds of scammers. You need to start slowly with items you have at home, for example, and that won’t have any serious consequences if things go wrong.
Also look into shipping costs; most shipments in France are sent through Mondial Relay, which is the cheapest carrier. Go to their site and look for the preferential rates linked with eBay. La Poste is too expensive in my opinion.
Unlike other platforms, eBay will not provide you with a shipping label. You’ll have to create it yourself by going to the carrier’s website.
At first you’ll make mistakes, but that’s how you learn.
