As a non-professional seller, should we declare gross or net?
Hello,
This year I have to file a tax return under the BIC regime, as a non-professional seller.
I was wondering what we were supposed to declare to the tax office:
- do we have to declare everything: the gross price of the item sold + shipping costs?
or
- do we have to declare the price of the item sold - eaby commission + shipping costs?
Thanks in advance for your answers

OP2 years agoThanks for this link (and for all your many contributions in general)
But I was wondering whether on eBay specifically we had to declare everything or just the total sales - the eBay commission
Because on **bleep** for example, there isn't any commission, so we lose less that way...

The revenue of a professional ecommerce seller is the total amount paid by buyers (item price + DFP + various insurance fees if there are any)... see here for all the details---->
EU DAC7 Directive and platform tax transparency law – Sales reporting obligations | eBay
and for non-pro sellers....
- look here-----> Tax declaration for sales The **bleep**, **bleep**, eBay: rules, threshold (toutsurmesfinances.com)
But if you have any doubts.. ask your Controller to guide you.. that’s also part of their job and they’ll be happy to give you the best advice.
Kind regards
