US shipment
Summary: algi933 asked a question about an international shipping issue on eBay, where a buyer paid an insufficient amount for shipping costs. The amount paid by the buyer was less than the actual cost of shipping to the United States. lingma85 advised setting shipping fees by zone and by weight to avoid situations like this and mentioned the implications of canceling or keeping the sale. algi933 thanked them for the advice.
Hello everyone, quick question...
It is stated on all my listings that for international sales, my buyers must wait for the invoice before paying, as shipping costs are adjusted to the destination.
In the listing description, as Ebay requires, I indicate a median amount for shipping by Colissimo.
Yesterday I sold an item to the USA and the buyer paid immediately, before I could send him the invoice.
The problem is that this shipment costs 70 euros and he only paid the 40 euros stated in the details of this listing.
I sent him a message but got no reply.
What do the experts on this forum advise me to do?
Cancel the sale? Send it anyway (item 25 euros cheaper than the shipping cost difference)?
I won't die from it, but if I have to go through with this great negative sale, I will make absolutely sure in future that the median amount shown on my listings is much higher, at the risk of losing my international customers.
Thanks for your help.

uh...
I forgot to answer the question--->
"Cancel the sale? Send it anyway "
As a seller....
- there's the "fair play" that says we should take responsibility for what we do (mistakes included) and learn from them...
- there's the wallet that gets scared when the sale ends in a negative result... and makes you take unsporting measures by canceling it so as not to own up to its mistake... (draw your own conclusion...) but ebay will in any case penalize you by withholding a commission, and the buyer by a tomato...
It's up to you to decide where your professional conscience and/or your interest lies....

When you set your shipping options--> International shipping for sellers | eBay
Do it by zone and based on the weight including packaging, and not country by country....
See how La Poste prices it and do the same...
- this will save you a lot of handling...
For each item, you weigh it and indicate the corresponding zone and rate.
Best regards
