Putting up for sale, issue with condition for a no-return
Summary: eniram is having difficulty validating an online listing because the site requires return conditions. Anonymous User explains that refusing returns is impossible for a business account. francexpressdeal confirms that this is the site's policy for professionals and shares a useful link. noctisauxroses warns about the legal implications of signing up as an individual if the user is actually a professional. The issue of managing listing duration is also addressed, and francexpressdeal reassures them that orders will never exceed the available stock.
Hello,
I can't get my listing approved; I did create a "no returns or exchanges" policy, but during the final validation, it keeps telling me that I need to modify my return conditions. I've tried several times by changing the return condition settings (by unchecking national and international, and without checking the first default box either (which was checked the first time)) .. I'm on my umpteenth attempt and I admit I'm struggling; I can't find any help or information.
Also, I can't change the duration "until canceled" .. .. I have 56 units (identical) to sell for this listing and, even though I have some leeway, I would have preferred to have a duration option of "until 0" or "until 56"; could you point me in the right direction for these two issues?
Thanks in advance,
Eniram

OP3 years agoThanks for the link and the explanations franceexpressdeal.
By the way, how do you change the duration? (by selecting the caret next to "duration", I don't have any options)
This one is "until canceled" but I thought I saw that there was an option that let you not worry about having more requests than stock (I forgot the term)

whichever option you choose, you will never have more orders than the stock you indicated.

OP3 years agoaaah..! well thanks first of all..
So, wouldn't it be better if I deleted this account and made one as an individual, like I buy the lot and resell it? or an ad for a book?
How could I work around this option if it doesn't suit me?

·3 years agoUh, either you’re a registered professional, or you’re a private individual clearing out your cupboards. Legally, there isn’t any other option. If you decide to scam the law by signing up as a private individual when you’re a professional, don’t come ask us for our opinion^^ Either way, in both cases the amount of the sales is passed on to the tax authorities...

OP3 years agoI’ve seen some listings (like mine, for books) with “no returns,” and personally, for books that aren’t sealed, with their 14-day, 30-day return conditions and so on, that’s impossible; basically, the person is going to read the book and then say: “well, all that’s left is to send it back, I’ve read it for free”
So, if I don’t accept returns, to avoid abuse, I get screwed over for approval of the listing, meaning with a possible dishonest buyer?
In the case of the person who was selling “no returns” (which I picked at random by clicking on the first book I came across), how did they do it?

·3 years agoHello @eniram
you are registered as a pro on the site. That’s why you can’t refuse returns.

·3 years agoHello,
Just so you know, you can't refuse returns, that's probably what's causing the issue.
