edit shipping costs and same carrier in case of multiple purchases
Summary: cpp94 is looking for solutions to adjust shipping costs and the carrier for multiple purchases on eBay. frelonverre suggests creating a new listing, while cpp94 discovers an order consolidation option in the "Seller Hub." jacquelinedu36 recommends using the combined shipping option, providing a helpful link. cpp94 thanks everyone for the help and plans to try these options in the future.
Hello everyone,
Since it seems difficult to find eBay's contact address, and knowing that some of its experts read our messages here, I'm writing here.
I am an individual;
What options need to be implemented so that, in the case of multiple purchases by the same buyer, the total shipping costs -and even the carrier- can be modified, knowing that these costs decrease based on the total weight (for example, 2 2kg Colissimo packages together would cost less than a 5kg Colissimo ...). I want to be able -in agreement with the buyer- to change the carrier, some being much more economical for heavy weights. The initial weight of the various items not being sufficient to do the calculation, because the weight of the packaging also has to be added ...

OP2 years agoThank you very much for this link, I’m going to keep the procedure handy, and especially initialize it, for a possible future group sale.
My apologies for the very late reply, Ebay community emails are put in "spam" by my mail software ...

the only option in this case is to post the ad again and have your buyer click on it

OP2 years agoThanks for replying, and apologies for the delay, all the eBay community emails are going to spam in my inbox ...
The only and unique possibility? That’s what I would have liked to avoid; after a lot of searching, I found ("Seller Hub", "overview" tab, 'orders' square) a line "orders that can be grouped" on which, by clicking, I got :
"Group transactions
Some of the buyer orders below can be grouped.
Select a buyer whose transactions you want to group. You can then adjust the shipping charges and the order total on the next screen before sending them an invoice.
Please note that you cannot group more than 40 items on one invoice."
But I no longer had an invoice with multiple items to test ... I think Jacquelibne from 36's answer is right, and there are things to initiate, but I wasn't able to test it fully
