Hello, I sold an item for €80 + €10 shipping to be paid by the buyer. I still had to pay €10.70 in shipping costs, and it looks like I won’t be reimbursed for it in my upcoming payments. How can I fix this please?
you have the impression that the shipping costs won't be paid to you because, more or less, the amount of eBay fees is equivalent to the amount of the delivery charges.
Thank you for your reply but unfortunately no, after calculations that is not the case. The buyer paid €90 (including €10 in shipping), eBay takes €9.73 in commissions from me (so the amount I receive goes down to €80.27; but I myself also paid €10.70 in shipping costs; which means I should have received €90.97 Yet I will only receive €80.27
You're getting mixed up because of the shipping, but in absolute terms, if you only take the item itself into account, you can't sell it for €80 and pocket €80 NET since you have to deduct eBay's commission.
Moreover, you charge €10 shipping: that's a mistake on your part because in reality it costs you €10.70 (and eBay also takes its commission on the shipping charged to the buyer).
So the math checks out: you did receive item+shipping-eBay commission (and from that you need to deduct the amount you paid for shipping).
It's up to you, when creating the listing, to calculate the sale price according to the fees so that the net amount received matches your expectations...

The only issue is that you made it cost 10 euros and it cost you 10.70. Now, the buyer paid you this amount. You say it yourself: "The buyer paid 90€ (including 10€ for shipping)"
So you were not supposed to receive 90.97 ... You made a sale of 90 and you would like to receive 90.97? 🤔
You made a sale at 90, you received 80.27 and so everything is normal.
"why doesn't the shipping refund appear in the upcoming amounts? " = because it has already been paid to you, at the same time as the item, there is nothing left to wait for on this transaction.

In the story, you forget that eBay commission fees are 10% of the total amount including shipping (+ fixed fees).

You asked for €10 shipping costs in your listing, amount paid by the buyer. That's what you will be paid by ebay (minus the 10% commission).
The extra comes out of your pocket 😉
