Partial refund to the buyer before shipping
Summary: ecomatrf sold an item to a buyer in the Netherlands, but the customer no longer wants it. Despite having paid for the shipping label, they offered a partial refund to cover those costs. *miss-tigri* advises simply canceling the sale and asking for a refund for the unused label. francexpressdeal notes that even with a partial refund, the buyer would not be fully refunded if they opened a dispute. felin12 suggests asking the buyer to submit a cancellation request to resolve the situation officially on the platform. ecomatrf’s main concern is making sure they don’t lose the shipping costs if they refund the buyer.
Hello,
A buyer from the Netherlands bought an item from me, I prepared his package and paid the shipping (online international Colissimo label) but now he no longer wants the item (which I have not sent)
Having already paid for the Colissimo shipping, I offered to refund him excluding the shipping costs already paid by me (basically for nothing... ) and he agrees.
My question is: how should I proceed? because if I refund him partially (the “issue a refund” function), it seems to me that the order will remain “not shipped” and then he could ask Ebay for a 2nd refund for item not received...
Thanks in advance for your insight

·3 years agoBonjour @ecomatrf

·3 years agoBonjour
