An existing customer buyer is unable to pay for their latest purchase

Summary: rinrin28 had problems with a Japanese buyer who couldn’t pay because of a settings error on eBay. Despite several attempts to fix the error with advice from other participants such as *miss-tigri* and lingma85, the problem persisted until rinrin28 discovered that Japan was both allowed and blocked in the country list. After correcting that, the buyer was able to purchase the item with Buy It Now. rinrin28 is grateful for the advice received and managed to solve the problem.

Hello,

A Japanese buyer - who has already bought several items from me without any problems - is unable to pay for their purchase.

He sent me a screenshot: it says: "the buyer does not ship items to your address, please change your shipping address or contact the seller to request the order total".

I tried to modify the payment request but Japan is indeed checked as well as the Colissimo rate that goes with it. I can't seem to find a solution for now. I sent the payment request again but apparently nothing changed on his side...

Actually, after:

- trying different solutions

- communicating with my buyer

- chatting with customer service

I finally found out (all by myself) what was blocking it: on this listing, Japan appeared both on the list of allowed countries and, I don't know how, on the list of blocked countries... So I canceled the sale with my buyer's agreement and, if they want, they can buy the item again with Buy It Now.

I'm in the process of checking all my listings to see whether the error shows up elsewhere (and it's a pain because all my listings aren't standardized even though I normally use the "sell a similar item" feature...
