Un autre gratte tête (scratching my head again)...
Summary: lemarcheaupuces discusses optimizing his eBay listings and the challenges of international shipment tracking, particularly to destinations like China, Australia, and Croatia. He is concerned about conflicting information regarding tracking all the way to the final destination. lingma85 and collectionparis94 step in to explain the tracking conditions and mention the option of international registered mail. felin12 confirms that some information should be verified with official sources. Another participant points out the tendency of Chinese buyers to have items shipped first to France before sending them on to China. The exchange ends with thanks and wishes for a good Sunday.
Hello...
Constantly refining my listings...
better to do it while I only have 200 listings on eBay...
my dilemma now is international tracked letter mail to the final destination...
a few years ago I took a screenshot.
countries like Australia, Croatia... were on the list...
I just searched 2023 international tracked letter rates;
the post office added; China, Romania, and others.
But Australia and Croatia have disappeared.
there are a lot of contradictory sites on the internet, even from the post office.
can anyone confirm that the 2023 screen does indeed include China to the destination?
and has Australia been removed?
In the US, the American market was more than enough.
I didn't sell abroad.
here I have no choice.
very interested in China if there is tracking to the destination.
the reason is that these customers have addresses in the US (probably factories).
from there they forward everything to China.
one of my latest sales to a buyer from China was about 20 items.
here are the 2 screenshots.
thanks for any info.

·3 years agoA quick note. Here too, Chinese buyers purchase with delivery in France and then send everything there afterwards. It's very common

Info on the international tracking sticker

Your 2nd screenshot was not taken on an official La Poste site.

OP3 years agoHello...
I thought I had sent something to Australia that isn't on the list (unlike one I was referring to).
On one of your links I see that the destination country is responsible for the "flash/scan"... the post office says that at least 80% of parcels are flashed by these countries. I suppose that's what happened with this tracked letter package.
thanks for your help everyone.
I have some changes to make.
I suspected that some sites were not official post office sites...
have a good Sunday and thanks again...

According to La Poste’s website------> https://www.laposte.fr/tarifs-postaux-etranger
you can see the list of shipments all the way to their destination... ( Sending an international tracked letter lets you send your documents and/or goods and benefit from tracking until delivery for certain destinations..... etc ... )
then a mention indicating that--> " and tracking until the international mail processing center in France for the other destinations in the world."
which means that the French Post tracking number will be replaced by another tracking number.... To be checked with La Poste when you send your items.
Kind regards

·3 years agoHello
a little more expensive, for international I send by registered mail, so it's normally handed over against signature.
with tracking right up to the recipient for all destinations, with compensation in case of loss.

Excerpt:
The international registered letter allows you to formalize your shipments in the context of your relationships with your suppliers, customers, administrations and employees. In addition, you can benefit from end-to-end tracking of your shipment to certain countries and up to the French border for other destinations around the world.
