For your information: Norway and Israel: Tightening of customs requirements
Hello,
copy of the message received today from the post office:
Since 15 September 2026, Norwegian and Israeli customs have been applying new requirements for postal shipments. Goods shipments must now be accompanied by accurate, complete and digitized customs data. To avoid any blockage or rejection, we ask you to ensure that each shipment includes:
• the recipient's full contact details in complete and accurate form;
• a precise description of the goods in English;
• a valid HS code that matches the goods being shipped;
• the sender's full address as well as the company name.
The authorities in each country will strengthen their checks on the quality of the data transmitted. Any shipment that does not comply, with incomplete or incorrect data, may be refused on import and returned to the sender, without any possibility of reimbursement of transport costs.
We invite you to check your data entry and transmission processes now in order to ensure the proper delivery of your shipments to Norway and Israel.
