What should I put in the VAT field when creating an ad? (Sole proprietor not subject to VAT)
Hello,
I am a sole proprietor under the VAT exemption scheme. When creating my listings in the price tab, VAT box, should I leave it blank, enter 0, or another figure/number?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Kind regards,

As for me, I think it's better to leave this box empty rather than put 0%. eBay says right next to the field: “If the sale price does not include VAT, leave the field blank.”
VAT exemption means you do not charge VAT: so it's not really a 0% VAT rate, but an absence of VAT charged. 0% may seem logical, but fiscally it's not the same thing in my opinion.
That said, if someone has an official eBay confirmation saying they specifically ask for 0% for VAT-exempt sellers, I'm interested, because that's exactly the point that causes confusion and in the end I've never really known what to put; as for me, I leave the field blank.

if I said that you had to put 0, it wasn't for nothing.
I had wondered about that too. At first I was told to leave the field blank, but that caused a problem.
Then I got confirmation from the community manager at the time that you really did have to put the number 0.
