Merci, but I did that. He does not speak English or German and I can only use Google Translation for my 'French' - which might be incomprehensible.

I'm not sure if he simply does not want to sell to me.  He agreed to it before I bought the item (I asked beforehand, of course), and he seems friendly and willing. It's just that we've reached a point now where we simply cannot understand each other anymore. I also got the impression that he probably does not sell on eBay very often, and probably has not sold anything to international before.

So I hoped for someone here who could mediate.
