impossible to buy on ebay.de
Summary: circus_etoilus expressed difficulties buying on eBay.de, where shipping to France seems problematic despite German sellers' willingness to deliver. koalagris suggests asking the seller to add the buyer to the exemption list. Anonymous User and another participant note that many German sellers avoid transactions to France because of recurring disputes. jeanfrancois8995 shares a similar experience and criticizes eBay for its restrictions, which he finds unreasonable.
hello everyone, for at least 15 days now it has been impossible to buy on ebay.de, unless the German seller sets the shipping costs for abroad.... but before that it wasn't necessary, every time it gives me the following message: "You cannot send this item to the following country: France. The seller does not offer delivery to the country or region indicated in the main shipping address. To learn more, please contact the seller." and every time I ask the German seller there is no problem, he is happy to send the products to France! would anyone have any information to give me? or an ebay administrator? thanks in advance for your replies. kind regards

·2 years agoSame for me, I bought for a good fifteen years dozens of stays, hotel holidays from private German individuals (without the slightest hitch) I win the auction, I pay via PayPal, or direct bank transfer, and the seller sends me the file attachment electronically (at worst, I’m the one taking the risk of not receiving anything? And since last year, that’s it, a window that opens to inform you of the impossibility? It’s Ebay that’s **bleep**, what difference does it make selling to a guy from Strasbourg or Munich? Before there wasn’t this restriction, so it’s a stupid creation!
I called Ebay many times, and I never got anyone capable of understanding?
At the very least, ebay could offer German sellers the option to block within the territory? But there they do the opposite, they block by default!! I also contacted sellers several times, it’s very complicated for them, none of them really bothers to make the effort, and I understand them........In short, Ebay is **bleep**, and the worst part is that you don’t have anyone sensible to raise this nonsense, this pointless dysfunction!! So, loss of revenue for this company!

OP3 years agoI’ve always had an answer that could explain this to me; it’s been 15 years since I’ve bought in Germany, I think eBay changed something, and unfortunately for the Germans, they’re going to lose a lot from it given the many French buyers....

thanks for the info ... And oddly enough, that doesn't surprise me ...
That said, the German sellers are lucky! Because us French sellers, we can't block French buyers 😭

The simplest thing is to ask the seller to put your username on their list of buyers exempt from the required conditions (they can check the eBay.de terms of use if they don't know how to do it), then you'll be able to confirm the purchase.
